Do you feel like you're not good enough? Do you have trouble loving yourself? I'm going to show you how to use positive affirmations to start loving yourself and start seeing results in your life.  I know that a lot of women struggle with self-love. We constantly put ourselves down and compare ourselves to others, but that's not healthy or sustainable. In this blog, I'm going to show you how to use positive affirmations to start seeing the beauty that exists within you.

Women are often their own worst critics. We tend to be harder on ourselves than we are on other people, and as a result, we can end up feeling pretty bad about ourselves. One way to combat this negative self-talk is to practice positive affirmations. Positive affirmations are statements that you repeat to yourself in order to change your mindset and focus on the positive. For example, if you’re feeling down about your appearance, you might say to yourself, “I am beautiful and worthy of love.” Repeating these kinds of statements can help to boost your self-esteem and remind you of your worth. If you’re not sure where to start, here are a few positive affirmations for women:

-I am enough just as I am.
-I am worthy of love and respect.
-I am strong and capable.
-I am deserving of happiness.
-I love and accept myself exactly as I am.

1. Ways to use your affirmations
Affirmations need to be seen or said out loud multiple times per day to be the most effective. My favorite ways to see my affirmations is putting post it notes on my mirror, reading them out loud in front of a mirror or setting alarms on my phone with my affirmations to remind me during the day. Another great way to use your affirmations is to write them in a journal!

2. How often to say them 
More the better! The more times you see or read your affirmation the more effective they will be. Consistency and determination are key for seeing the benefits of affirmations! Morning and evening would be great places to start....and slowly add more times during the day to focus on your affirmations. It doesn't have to take lots of time.

3. The Science
The power of positive thinking is a popular concept, but it's also supported by science. Studies have shown that practicing affirmations can lead to real changes in our brain chemistry. For example, one study found that people who repeated the phrase "I am loveable and worthy" showed increased activity in the parts of the brain associated with self-esteem and positivity. Similarly, another study found that people who said affirmations before an important task felt less stress and performed better than those who didn't. So what exactly is going on here? It's thought that affirmations work by affecting our self-beliefs. When we repeat positive statements about ourselves, we slowly start to believe them, and this can lead to changes in our behavior and attitude. So if you're looking to improve your life, try repeating some positive affirmations - it just might work wonders.
